The Weeknd announces world tour for 2017
Singer Abél Makkonen Tesfaye, better known by his stage name The Weeknd, has announced phase one of his world tour in support of his upcoming LP “Starboy: Legend of the Fall”, in 2017.
After spending a month touring Europe, the North American leg of the Starboy: Legend of the Fall tour will start on April 25 in Vancouver, British Columbia and will conclude six weeks later in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 9, reports rollingstone.com.
The flyer for the event states that “surprise special guests” for the tour will be announced soon.
Five months after The Weeknd’s last concert, Abel Tesfaye returned to the stage last week, headlining a concert in New Orleans.
The gig marked the live debut of “Starboy” and “False alarm”, two tracks off the singer’s new album, which will be out on November 25.
