Haryana Police seizes 1506 boxes of illicit liquor valued around Rs 20 lakh from village Samsipur, Kurukshetra

Haryana Police has seized 1,506 boxes of illicit liquor valued around Rs. 20 lakh from a godown situated at village Samsipur in district Kurukshetra.

A Police  Department spokesman said that the godown was raided following a tip-off. The Crime branch had received information that the liquor contractor and his associates were allegedly supplying liquor in UP and Bihar.

A case under Excise Act and relevant sections of IPC against three persons has been registered at Police Station Kurukshetra. Two accused who were arrested have been identified as Balraj alias Raja, a resident of Songari and Deepak alias Deepu of Jakholi in Kaithal. And the key accused –the contractor would be nabbed shortly, he added..
