Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal will inaugurate five-storeyed rest house of the Public Works Department (PWD) having a capacity of 100 rooms and built at the cost of Rs. 41 crore in Gurugram on Tuesday.
Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Narbir Singh disclosed that the rest house has been developed over an area of 4.7 acres and its basement has parking capacity for 200 cars.
Rao Narbir Singh added that the rest house has eight VIP suites, one Governor’s suite, one Chief Minister’s suite, and rooms for 62 officers. Besides, it has a living room, a conference room, dining and fine dining halls.It also has an arrangement for stay of drivers and other staff.
The foundation stone of the rest house was laid by the Chief Minister on October 2, 2015. It had been constructed in a record time.
He disclosed that in 2018, the foundation stone of new projects worth about Rs 10,000 crore would be laid in Gurugram. Besides, many projects would be completed next year which would accelerate the development of the district.
