Kumar Bandhu enthrall audience in New Year Extravaganza at Chandigarh

The three day New Year Extravaganza organized by Department of Tourism and CITCO  kicked off at the Plaza  here with a soulful recital of Sufiana kalaams by noted sufi singers, Kumar Bandhu, a musical duo of two brothers  Anup Kumar and Hemant Kumar.

The Bandhu brothers opened up with `Chhap tilak sab chhini mouse naina milaike’  by Amir Khusro  and mesmerized the audience. They doled out more Sufiana numbers  and brought alive the mysticism Of  the  Sufi saints.

The audience relished the compositions like `Saade wal mushda mod’,`Sawan ki bheegi raton mein’, `Jis tan lageya ishq kamal’-  Bulle Shah, `Main to saanwre ke rang raachi’- Meera Bai, `Nee main Kamli haan’- Bulle Shah,`Buhe barian,Tere ishq nachaaya kar thaiya thaiya’, `Nit Khair Mangan soneya’ , `Akhiyan udeek diyan’,`Dama dam mast kalandar’ and many more.

The evening also had Kalbelia performance by an Ngo— Navyog Adakari Maanch.
