CHANDIGARH:

Playing a positive role during the COVID-19 pandemic, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has come out with a policy to convert land leased out to investors, on very low capital investment initially, into a freehold state after fulfilling some terms and conditions.

HSIIDC Managing Director Anurag Agarwal said that while the entire world is facing a crisis due to COVID-19, HSIIDC is playing a key role in increasing investment and industries in Haryana and is holding meetings through Webinars constantly. Meetings will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with the investors through virtual web-desk, he added.

To provide residential facilities at the minimum cost to workers in order to retain them, a provision of an increase of 10 percent has been made in FAR for industrial residence in an area of one acre or more. He said that besides this the proposal of allocation of housing units and dormitories for industrial workers has also been made. He said that HSIIDC has prepared residential units and dormitories for industrial workers in IMT Manesar and Industrial Estate, Kundli in Sonipat.
