Haryana Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu has expressed the hope that the Union Budget to be presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley would contain proposals to benefit the general public, business class and the farmers and Haryana too would gain.
Capt. Abhimanyu said the Central Government had taken several welfare decisions during the last three-and-a-half years. Hopes have swelled from the Union Budget which would spur growth and give the economy a new direction.
He asserted that during the reign of the erstwhile UPA Government, corruption and nepotism were at peak and every section of the society was unhappy. After becoming Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi took decisions in public welfare. During the last three-and-a-half years, the general public has been connected with banks, increasing the number of bank accounts from 3.5 crores to 31 crores. Insurance benefit has been provided to people at an unbelievably low price of Rs 12 annually.
Capt. Abhimanyu said loans up to about Rs. 4 crores had been provided to the people without any guarantee under the Mudra Yojana. The present Central Government also implemented GST and took the historic decision of demonetisation which has helped check corruption and contain black money.
“I feel confident that the budget to be presented tomorrow would lend fresh impetus to the economic growth of the country. The Union Finance Minister will present a pro-people budget which would benefit every section of the society. I am sure special attention would be given to agriculture in this budget and new policies would be floated to further improve this sector. Business and the services sector can also expect good news from this budget,” he added.
